I made some good music connections last Saturday. I was just sitting there enjoying the band and a dude walks up to me saying, "hey, I know you... you're that amazing banjo player I saw at Grumpy's (a bar downtown)! You fly, dude!". What a compliment! He asked me if I was available to do some recording with his band in January and I said sure... and then later, someone else who is a friend of a mutual friend, though I didn't know him struck up a conversation with me while our friend's band was playing. He asked me what I played and told him banjo... he had pretty much the same thing as the first guy! He also wanted to know if I'd be interested in recording with his band! I said sure again! I guess I'm a picker for hire! Looks like I'll be one busy picker come the new year! WOO HOO!!!
