*Sigh*... I went out and bought the face paint I need for my Halloween costume, and decided to see how it'd look. Put it on (around my eyes and cheekbones, where it's supposed to go), and got the costume on. Looks great! For those that don't know, I'm going as the Crimson Ghost (the Misfits use the him as their logo, btw). I have the mask and to make it look better, I have to put black face paint on first so that my skin doesn't show under the mask and ruin the effect. Well guess what? As I was taking the make up off, it started to really sting and itch. Not good. I had an allergic reaction. Now, I've got nice red splotches under and around my eyes. It's not terrible, but it looks like I've been crying for days... *Sigh* Maybe I should try spending a little more than a dollar on the stuff. I'll wait til I heal then try it all over again.

On other fronts, I updated my OS (I run Debian w/the Mepis distro) and ordinarily this goes well and I do it on a regular basis. After this last update, Linux no likee. I restarted, and it just sat there at the command prompt. I could log in, just no GUI. I did everything I could, but to no avail. Ended up reinstalling the OS. Fortunately, with Linux (at least with this distro), it takes about 10 minutes. Anyhow, I hardly lost anything, but will chose my updates with more care in the future.
