Rain, rain, rain... they predict it for the next 3 - 4 days. Ya know, I don't hate the rain all that much (sucks when you walk to work like I do, but...). One thing rain is great for, though, is writing music and coming up with lyrics. I write some of my best stuff in the crappiest weather.

Rains good for getting all introspective and stuff. Oh and wet! smile

Today wasn't as bad as yesterday... much more tolerable and a hell of a lot less annoying! smile Just coming back from a bar I've been waiting to check out... la Barouf. Not bad. Decent beer, inoffensive music and friendly staff. I'll go again...

Ah yes. That is always a good sign. I had that in Ottawa and thankfully now at the Maysen. I miss the old bartender though. he would actually bring the beer to us as we walked in the door. Now that's service! wink

Ah, a relaxing night at home. I haven't just chilled at home in the longest time. Kickin' back with a nice maple latte and watching Law & Order... going to TRY to go to bed early tonight. Haven't been sleeping much lately, probably too excited for the big move coming up.

I'm here! Woo hoo! Many thanks to Goblintcat for the invite! I'm going to jump right in and get started with an entry here...

Went out with Goblintcat last night and tied on one... lot's of fun as always! Digipunk, I think, was too worn out from Friday night, or else he'd have probably come along with us. You know, there's nothing like eating lots...

Fred because...

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
...er, I really don't know frown I think it started when I was a kid--11 or 12 maybe--as a way to irritate my sister. I'd call her Fred. Relentlessly. She'd call me Barney, she'd call me Ginger, she'd call me any name she could come up with that coupled with Fred, until finally at some point she just started calling me Fred in return. Now a bunch of her in-laws call me Fred instead of Dana whatever It's not uncommon to hear this conversation at holidays at her house:

Me: "Hey Fred, can you hand me that measuring cup?"
My sister: "Sure, Fred, the little one or the big one?"
Her brother-in-law: "HEY! FRED'S HERE! How you doing, Fred?"
Me: "Hey Spanky, don't call me Fred."
Spanky: "I'll quit as soon as you stop calling me Spanky."
Me: "Never happen, Spanky. I can live with Fred."

My turn. Why Tarbox? smile

*edited to say, Sorry about your relentless day. I've been relentlessly unemployed for a year, so I have a whole different sort of stress frown
