Well, I finally ditched Ma Bell and and have gone VoIP for my regular phone service... it rocks! Half the cost of Bell and sounds just as good. Man, it feels so good to ditch Bell... they've taken my money for too long!

What to do when you're bored...

Divided into 3 categories...

THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Push your eyes for interesting light show
(Amusement Potential: 1-5 minutes)
See a variety of blobs, stars and flashes. Try to make out things your subconscious is trying to send you a message? Can you control what you see by pressing different areas with different forces? Would it...

Far better pickings in your neck of the woods than around here. Though when I threw my sofa out it almost started a fist fight over who got to take it. Strange world.
mslion:
Ohmygod, you're too funny. When I'm bored I just...take a nap or something equally useless shocked

You gotta love videogame quotes like this:

"I'm one bad-ass freakin' overlord!" and "Ha ha! I'm going to overlord your face off!"

Funny stuff...

VALHALLA!!!
goblintcat:
I'm going to overlord your face off???? What the heck are you playing???? eeek

One weekend before Christmas I'll come up for sure (cat's got to go to the vet though frown )

Still no hot water! Sucks is an understatement. They know what the problem is but since it requires a new hot water heater and replacing my pipes they can't do it immediately. Crap!

You still coming down this weekend?

How does it make you feel when your "hero" or someone you "idolize" gets pushed around?

mslion:
Wow, I've never thought that when I go to sleep at night that it might be my last time...but I will now shocked

I imagine that seeing someone I idolize get pushed around would make me question why I consider them to be a hero. Although it also depends on why I consider them to be a hero in the first place. For instance, if I particularly admired someone who is a pacifist, I'd imagine that them getting pushed around is par for the course...
goblintcat:
That would have been the cooleset screen saver! Kind of seless now I suppose but at the time...WOW! eeek

Cool in an eerie way... when it's windy out, the windows in my new place give an eerie howl just like in the movies. Creepy, but kinda cool. eeek

i love watching rough weather from the comfort of my room, its worse when your in it

I sort of feel compelled to buy the lost season as well though. Just to finish the complete series (The 3rd boxset is also supposed to include the X-Files episode that tried to tie up all the lose ends from when Millenium ended).

Of course, that might just be my hording instinct kicking in as well. We'll see. At $80 it's a bit excessive for what was basically alot of bad episodes stuck together but if I find it at $40....well....

I'm bored. Can anyone think of something funny to retort and get me out of this I-don't-feel-like-doing-anything-or-going-anywhere funk?

Heh. Nothing funny here. I'm in the same funk shocked

Hey, stop crowding wink

This just in from the it-doesn't-really-surprise-me department... Our wonderful monopolizing consumer eater Microsoft plans to intentionally under-distribute the new Xbox 360 to create a high demand for it. They will certainly run out before Christmas thereby giving them and excuse to redistribute at a higher cost. Bastards.

That being said, I've been thinking about getting into games again and pick myself up a gaming console (no, no the 360). Any recommendations? Xbox? PS2? I'm so out of the gaming loop...

Yay! I'm slowly acquiring much needed furniture! Just bought a nice sofa chair from a guy that's moving out from the apartment below me. $20 and it's like new! Woo hoo! No more sitting on the floor for me!

I'm the youngest in the building by a good 20 years for the youngest and up to 40+ years for the oldest in the building. So, most of them are beyond elderly and more in the territory of dinosaur!

Mission accomplished! I'm all moved in! Mind you, the girl that lived here before didn't clean up the place at all, and it was dusty as all hell and lots of cat hair (I love cats, but their hair doesn't love me!). So, I moved in on Sunday and didn't have any time to clean (just moved stuff). Went to bed Sunday night with a...
