*listening to= bubble pop electric- Gwen Stefani*
so here are my adventures in S-Town (or what i like to call the labryinth that is sydney)
took the plane to sydney by my self, i was meeting my friends there.
the first night we were there the semi-permanent/ and YEN mag guys were hosting the launch of the exhibition/and book called ''Curvey' which celebrates women artists
pictures from the launch party (in surrey hills)
here are a few of the paintings on show
did i mention that there was free asahi beer, vodka blue, and nudie juice.
this is darling harbor near where i was staying.
so i rock up on the first day of the semi-permanent conference excited as ever to be seeing FAFI, jason lee and princess tina (beci orpin).. and as i'am walking up the steps my friend runs up to me and tells me that both fafi and jason lee have pulled out the day before.. i was soooooo heart broken.
but i still got to she the awsomest beci orpin
gee sydney is a strange town to find your way around..it was a tad confusing at times.. but i finaly found it
here are just some random photo's from my trip.......
haha ..just cause it's funny.
while we were trying to find the semi-permanet after party we were walking through china town and of course i got distracted..(but damm the shop was closed)
this was taken in hyde park. that kid (14) was playing against an older man (about45).. the kid was winning
haha this camera was my friends..1995 anyone?
well thats about it.. it was a very fun fun experience and even tho the people i paid to go see didn't go i still was very inspired and very muchly enjoyed the other speakers that were there.
and it was cool cause i paid extra for a V.I.P ticket so i got front row seating and a huge gift pack with lots and lots of very pretty art/photography/design books and magazines oh and a tee. yay..
i can't wait to do it all again next year...
well i have the yeah yeah yeahs gig tomorrow night so i gots to go plan my outfit (how girly)

Glad Semi-Permenant and the yyys treated you so well. I wish I'd had the money to go to the conference but it was one or the other so Karen won out.
