I HATE tattoo shop drama.. So much so, that I do anything to avoid it, even let people take pieces when it's my turn in rorataion because otherwise they will whine.. and they STILL whine and accuse me of shit.. I personally like every style of tattooing for different reasons, but I like to be challenged, so my favorite style to tattoo on others is color portraits and realism, but I dont cut anyone else down because of what they prefer. Some of the other artists I work with have taken to telling clients that realism and portraits never stay and always heal like shit, and white is impossible to keep.. I have 5 and 3 year old white tattoos on myself.. I have a picture I did of a perfectly healed white tiger portrait. my husband has 2 year old white (and he has olive skin!!..) in a portrait I did on him... I just find i very innapproriate for the people I work with to cut down my work to clients. Sorry, that has just been bothering me for a few days.. tattoo shops can be an amazing family envoronment, or worse than fucking high school...
On that note... this is the piece I did yesterday, on an amazing client, who pretty much made a crappy day end on a good note..
And since I had a lack of inspiration, and needed to do something fun, I tattooed my cat on myself the other day..
