Today has been a pretty good day so far managed to get through hours of mind-numbing revision (endocrinology, how thou art the bane of my life...) and learn a few things for the exams. Apparently in Europe, the Finns have the most potent and healthy sperm. Us poor sods in Britain are cursed with growing infertility...
However, should all else fail, this does mean that the world will be populated by the beautiful Finnish people...
In other news, finally got back into Krav Maga this evening, and god it feels good to just go flat out assaulting someone/something for two hours... totally exhausting, and nearly made me faint from sweating, but I totally love being able to spar and I definitely feel like Im improving at it. I might be able to get a grading a couple of days after my exams, which would also be awesome. However, I think I managed to kick hard enough to micro-fracture my big toe... stings a little, and its gone swollen, but hopefully it should go down soon.
I also just kinda re-discovered How To Destroy Angels I think I definitely love them so far. I heard a couple of their songs a long while back, but its only now that Ive started properly listening to them more. Theres something haunting and beautiful, but in a sorrowful sort of way. It feels, funnily enough, very much like Nine Inch Nails to be honest, I dont think theres a huge amount of difference; it feels exactly like Trent Reznor always felt, which is definitely a good thing. I also generally prefer female singers, so its a natural match for me. Whatre peoples general thoughts on them?
Final thing, been fiddling about with a game called Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Its loosely based on Cthulu mythos, which had the potential to go brilliantly or terribly. My personal opinion is that it was done brilliantly, and really sends chills down your spine. You almost dread to play the game, and yet its so addictive again, highly recommend it to anyone who likes this sort of stuff.
