Oh dear I am suffering for last night's revelries...
blackeyed

I've had the best weekend ever and I'm no longer a meet virgin! My lurking is pretty much cured biggrin

Started off training it up to London, which took far too long -grrr stupid train works - and met my sis for dim sum in Chinatown, mmmmmmm yummy.
Then off to the Bean's, where I had the...

And I bet you were out on the booze tonight as well, eh? Blessed alcohol, the cause and solution of so many of life problems.

And in the Euston Tavern you screamed it was your shout
But they wouldn't give you service so you kicked the windows out
They took you out into the street and kicked you in the brains
So you walked back in through a bolted door and did it all again

300 a night. Do they want male strippers wink That is good money and as you said, is very good for sorting out the bank balance. I have a big problem with money, ie I like spending it and I am not sensible so often out spend my income blush

I completely understand about Bristol. I think it will only be a very small due but good to catch up with a few members I know from Bristol. But I'm sure I'll catch up with you at a future meet.

Ah I suppose it's time for a mini-update.
Thank you to everyone who wished me luck with the interview! kiss
I wasn't sure how it went at the time, I wore my wicked Charlie's Angels-style suit (black with a gold pin-stripe and leapard-print lining) and I tried to be really positive and enthusiastic, but the feedback from the agency was pretty good, so fingers crossed I...

Hi! Sorry I didn't get a chance to spend more time chatting to you last night!

I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities smile

Finally I have a profile pic in which I am possibly - could it be? - smiling. smile

Anyway you can sort of (dark pictures again, blah! I need to get up earlier) see my new hair which I had done yesterday, darker brown with red stripes. I love it! Now I've got red striped everything. Oh and for fans of red stripes I am updating...

Hmmmm quick update time I feel, as everything is rather exciting right now and I just can't contain it all till next weekend.

Right:

I am getting hair cut & coloured on Saturday, just begged them to squeeze me in and phew, they managed it. Still not sure on colour, we'll see, but aiming for something wild and exotic.

I have job interview on Tuesday,...

Well, Felice certainly did wink and Culluket as well to think about it.

I do get my hair cut every now and then, I get it lopped off to shoulder length and let it grow back again. It's a rare occurance though. You're lucky with your hairdresser, the one nearest to me is a surly gent who can manage monosyllable grunts but thats about it.
monkeyboye14:
Don't forget to take off the kitten ears before the haircut.
And good luck with the interview x

Lovely Sunday and the end of a good week, hopefully the beginning of another good one too.

Good omen: I was wandering around the supermarket and they played 'Wicked Game'. I know it's a cliche and all but I so love that song. It makes me want to fall in love.
blush

Anyway, interruption to normal service as I've just had a pub summons. So this...

Good to hear, although the hangover part could be reoccuring more or less nightly depending.

Thats the books. I've read both series and Intervention, the whole lot are among my favourites. If you can get hold of them, they're well worth the read. I was hooked on the use of mythology for the first series (The poem on my journal page is what inspired Julian May to write the first series), the second series answered a lot of points never really touched on in the first books.

I'll skip the 100 points, since those lyrics have me stumped.

wrong journal date!

Argh I'm ill. frown
I have lost my voice, it's so frustrating mad

So I haven't been up to much since the New Year, but have made plans to get up to London for the SGUK meet on the 28th, and I've sorted out a sofa at my sister's. She is working at Secrets that night so I can probably even sort out a taxi back with...

There's loads of manky illness going around, I've just recovered from a lovely dose of flu. Hope you get better quickly.
midwinter:
Bought that Argento box-set we were talking about. So I have The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Cat o' Nine Tails and (yep!) Phenomena to plough through. Kind of worried about watching the latter though - can it ever live up to your running commentary?

If I don't talk to you over the weekend, have a great one. kiss

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Finally get round to updating... I've been very busy.

Xmas at home was wonderful, I spent a lot of time sleeping and eating good food, going to the local with the parents and reading all the books I took with me and a few more: Cloud Atlas, The Cold 60,000, Merde Actually, The Blood Doctor, The Lovely Bones and Tom's Midnight Garden...

Happy new years, sweetness. Your waxing feel all silky now? Mmm... just imagining how nice that would feel. Up against me. Oh well, it's nice to have fantasies.... wink

Hi sweety, How are you? Had a cool time celebrating? Hope you survived biggrin

So right now I'm half-watching Rome, preparing to go to bed, and I just uploaded some photos from this morning, so you can see my tattoo, and my window and if you look very hard you can see both the nasty bruise on my thigh that I sustained in my collision with a speaker last weekend, and the comma-shaped burn on my stomach from Friday,...

Got an idea why you injure yourself all the time biggrin

Went to Hochgurgl, Austria. The resort is Hochgurgl/Obergurgl and with 3080m (c. 10,100 feet) Europes highest glacier free ski resort. It was great even though it was lacking about 1m of snow coverage for good off piste skiing. We had a lot of fun anyway. We still can ski pistes, after all wink

Geneva sounds good. Can I come along and we do some skiing together? blush

Well, it probably won't work out as I'll be off skiing in St Anton first weekend of January.

Hope you had a sensible day again biggrin

kiss

Tell me about it. I can still see the discolouration on my knees from some carpet burns from 5 years ago (not been much chance to add to them recently frown ). Plus, I have the sexual scar to end them all, but I'm not gonna broadcast what it is here... blush

Pictures look great, hon. Look forward to the next set. Speak to you soon. biggrin

Booo... we did not retain our title, I got very drunk and people kept hiding my glass and holding it hostage till the end of each round. But we did come 2nd, which out of 22 teams is not bad. The food was amazingly bad though, it's got to be the worst buffet I've ever had.
Now, I'm an expert on buffets, having emptied them...
