The tone of todays journal entry is melancholy, the reasons for which are several, and not all fully known even to me. As we all know, the colour of melancholy is sepia, of which more later
Anyway, Sundays make me a little bit sad, especially when guests leave and my flat is empty.
These are good things:
♥ I had a very fun and cool weekend, despite the nasty row with my friend Lou on Friday and the fact the Friday night I had to work 10-3 in the bar, as my visitor helped me forget it all. I love people who can do that.
♥ New job! I signed my contract this week and start on the 5th June. Also, it seems that although they wont give me the full years season ticket loan until Ive been there 6 months, they will loan me the money for 5 months worth of monthly season tickets as soon as I start, so that should make my first month commuting a little bit easier financially.
♥ I am nearly all better, yay! No more sneezing and coughing for me soon. Thank you for the lovely testimonials which did cheer me up no end.
♥ The nasty row I had with Lou on Friday is sorted out via text, weve both apologised and have agreed to start afresh this week and catch up over a drink or two later in the week.
♥ I have tickets for me and my friend Alexis to go and see The Tiger Lillies on Wednesday at the Komedia. Woo! Decadence with accordions
♥ Lost is back on TV! And its brilliant.
♥ I watched some Masters of Horror yesterday, the John McNaughton, Dario Argento and Takashi Miike ones, and all were enjoyable for different reasons - so far this series hasnt let me down yet. Imprint was rather rather nasty...
♥ Ive decided that I will probably get my next tattoo done at lunchtime on my last day at this job, 2nd June. And it will be this:
Only in black, not white and without the writing, itll be my homage to Phantom of the Paradise, one of my favourite films of all time. Ill get it done at the base of my spine, I think, to go with the archaeopteryx Ill get across my shoulder blades some time in June. Cant wait
♥ Dylan's back! Hooray!!!!
So thats about it for this last week. In the week to come I shall be filling my days with trying politely to pretend that I can be arsed with doing my current job properly, and my evenings with stuff to distract me, more Masters of Horror, more bar work, Tiger Lillies gig, FFIX, more research into outsider art, and various internet hijinks (as if that word makes hanging around on here sound any less geeky ).
Oh yes, I nearly forgot the sepia
