But first, Im going to have a little rant.
Fun update time now!
So, last week the ongoing saga of the broken boiler continued, they came to visit twice with little success (wrong parts, etc) and finally had it fixed today. So my flat is toasty and warm and I can once again dance around scantily clad, cook naked, etc.
I had my job interview in Haywards Heath on Thursday, the feedback was pretty good, but they have 4 more people to see this week and then I should find out next week. I really want this job, even though itll be very hard work.
And so, off I went to Leeds for the SGUK Invasion , where so many great things happened that I doubt I could remember or write them all down. So well have to go with highlights:
- Being tempted by air-rage when some off-duty pilot sitting next to me complained about my painting my nails, leaving me with only one hand painted, which is how they stayed all weekend, possibly making people think it was some weird emo-esque fashion trend. I did not kill him. But I should have.
- Only managing to knock over one glass of wine on Friday the rest of which shall remain a secret. Apart from the fact that I met a prostitute in the service lifts at 4am who had the nerve to comment on my messy hair and told me shed made 80.
- Dry Docks bangers and mash with the parsley. Mmmmm. And meeting all the lovely people.
- Walking for miles, in the drizzle, and nearly getting assimilated by the hordes of tiny Goths. Lots of little black spiders, they were.
- More food. Cute waitresses who couldnt pronounce Italian food names. And a snatch of conversation.
Hex: This girl at my school made a sex film with her boyfriend and it got out. I felt so so sorry for her
Me: Why, was she not enjoying it?
- Walking to the other side of Leeds again, and the Fab Caf, which was fab, but needed more amusements as I started flagging, so did many people. Made a lolly last a few hours, while being harangued for Thundercats porn and the destruction of innocence! And the Indiana Jones pinball didnt work. Boo! But danced to Aerosmith.
- Back across Leeds to the mighty Cockpit, where I danced like a Tasmanian devil till 2ish. Last girl standing, ha ha! And Creamy and Nonstops dance-off was legendary.
Sunday was a final reunion for waffles, mmmm waffles, and loud chat due to the almost complete deafness that the wall of speakers had induced in me, and then off to the airport and home. All in all an excellent weekend.
All the people were lovely! Thank you all for making my weekend the best one for ages. I wanted to put a comment on all your journals, forgive me if I havent yet, Im still recovering. I love you all lots and lots and cant wait to see you again!
However, pleased to hear you had a good weekend... i need to get into SGUK...(hint hint!)...
you sound happy. that's good. Hope you are well!
peace and happy stuff....
