Ah I suppose it's time for a mini-update.
Thank you to everyone who wished me luck with the interview!
I wasn't sure how it went at the time, I wore my wicked Charlie's Angels-style suit (black with a gold pin-stripe and leapard-print lining) and I tried to be really positive and enthusiastic, but the feedback from the agency was pretty good, so fingers crossed I should be on for a second interview.
Got dragged (well not exactly) out to the pub after work, was fortunate enough to see my mate Steve perform at an open mike night at Grand Central. The other performers were pretty good too, if only I'd been sober enough to appreciate them better
So this morning, off to Temple Tatu for my next lot of stars, three on right hip, I think I've just about got the hang of it now. Also got my ears pierced for the first time in 6 or so years, piece of cake, and now I'm thinking about getting something else already. So now I'm feeling ouchy, a bit itchy, and I spent the afternoon at work wired as anything, the JD and coke (or 3) after work numbed me nicely. I know people say you shouldn't drink after tattooing, but I spent the three days after my last one on a non-stop bender, and that healed perfectly, so I figure it must work
So tomorrow, off to the Bath Arms for my mate Steve's gig, it's melancholy singer-songwriter stuff, but he has a very beautiful voice, and there should be a good crowd. Plus, he's just split up with his girlfriend so I'll be fixing him up with random beautiful women, I love being a matchmaker!
Last update before the weekend, so I'll see you all sometime after Saturday...
Lyrics:
The lights are slowly going down, on Lexington Avenue,
And me, I'm all alone, watching the tears falling down on my face
A subway train is passing by, driving into the night
I jump inside cause I ain't got nowhere to sleep tonight,
That's when i think about you
