What the hell? It's 70 fucking degrees outside!!
Weird. I don't know what the weather is thinking, but it needs to...rethink...or something, because I want snow for Christmas damn it! It has 24 days left to give me a white winter fucking wonderland!
I just found the disposable camera I bought back in October for my last day of work. It still has 15 shots left in it, but when I get them all developed, I'll post them. There's some really cute pictures of my beast dog and I sharing french fries.
My 2006 trip to the UK with EF Tours has been confirmed. I don't know the exact dates yet, although I do know it will be for 10 days. I'm excited about it. I have no idea how I'm going to pay for this trip but just like I managed to pay for the Spain trip last May, I'll find a way to manage for this one too. The best part is my best friend Morgan is going. We had a blast together in Spain, so I'm glad she's coming with me.
And I'm really getting in the holiday spirit, as I do around this time every year. I've been decorating the house (which the step-dad monster is not in) while listening to my favorite holiday songs as sung by the Rat Pack. Frank Sinatra singing "I'll Be Home for Christmas"...*swoon*
I'm not even Christian, but I fucking love Christmas! Maybe it's the childhood memories? I don't know.
I put a card in the mailbox for my little brother, saying it was from Santa. He got so excited, his face lit up like a Christmas tree. I wish he would believe in Santa forever, it's so sweet.
On a completely random note. I must have these jeans from Buckle.
Orig. $58.00, now $19.99!
OK, now out of curiosity, a few questions to those of you who may be suckers for Christmas just like me:
What are your favorite holiday movies?
What are your favorite holiday songs?
How long did you believe in Santa?
Do you still have a stocking, that you hang by the chimney with care?
--------------------------------------------------------
My answers:
Movies: A Christmas Story, The Grinch (both the cartoon and the one with Jim Carrey), Lemon Drop Kid, The Santa Clause, Happy Holidays With Bing & Frank, Home Alone 1 &2, It's a Wonderful Life, A Charlie Brown Christmas, White Christmas. A few recent favorites: Bad Santa, Love Actually.
Songs: White Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock, I Believe, The Christmas Song, Let It Snow, I'll Be Home for Christmas, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. (I love these all 10 times better when they are sung by Frankie, Sammy, or Dean.) Can you tell I really love the Rat Pack?!!!
Regarding Santa: I believed in him until the ripe old age of 11.
Regarding Stockings: Yes, I still have one. It's huge and made of soft green faux fur. I have threatened my mother with death if it's not overflowing when I wake up on Christmas morning. And if there's stupid, cheap "filler" stuff in it, ohhhh the wrath that will be had...
