Not much is new. Lots of things still great, others suck. I'm finding myself more annoyed by people lately, how special. I've been helping a few of my friends record some stuff over the past few weeks. I'm drums and mixing. yeehoo.
Trivial Pursuit DVD pop culture is pretty fun. I bought it last week cause the lady and I are stupid for trivia and also board games. It just made sense to buy it. We played last Sunday and it was fun. Lots of 80's questions though. Also weird questions about children's shows I could never answer. Stupid kids and their TV.
I haven't been able to access the site for a while now as my cable provider seems to be incapable of forwarding me to someone who knows ANYTHING about their network when I call them. Some weak ass routing error pushes me through 2 gateways, who then bounce back invalid address echos but finally let me through on the third try. I don't know why I'm explaining this.
I'm actually taking time off during the first week of August. Going to visit some friends with the lady sorta. She's going seperately with her family...complicated. But eventually we'll be hanging out together. and then driving back together. Should be fun until she tries to kill me.
I'm fucking tired of commercials trying to make computers and networking seem easy. When I setup a network for people, they assume they are getting what they see on TV. Example: Guy buys a pretty expensive laptop from a large national store that begins with a B and ends with est Buy. He's seen the commercials and know that he absolutely must have wireless built in. So he gets a sweet ass sweet toshiba laptop with an ATI 9800-M for gaming and pays about $2k for it. Gets it home, plays around with it and calls us to come and set up his network. I get there the next day and he's wondering why his wireless internet isn't working outside. So I go to take a look at his deskto system...no broadband connection or router. Hell he doesn't even another piece of wireless anything in his house. Long story short, he tells me I don't know what i'm doing (after I tel him he needs the proper equipment for a wireless setup), then he flips out on some poor stupid kid at the store he bought it at about devious corporations and marketing tactics and shame. After about 20 minutes of listening to this guy yell on the phone I decided to tell him what he needed and how much it would cost. He says fine and I set it up. He calls our shop a few hours later saying I lied to him about the wireless and it still won't work......over a mile from his house while he's showing it off to his friend. He actually thought that if he bought it, he could acces the wireless from anywhere.
I normally would feel that the guy is a total fucking moron, but honestly, I think a lot of the allusions he had about the technology come from TV ads, though he was naive to believe what he did. I mean, if you buy a cordless phone it doesn't work like a cell phone.
So please, if anyone reading this is workng for an ad agency that puts this crap out there, fucking stop it. It's making mine, and probably thousands of other peoples' jobs a lot more annoying.
p.s.: Mya is now my friend. I thought I did a request a while ago but I was probably just drinking. Also, if you have a problem with me, don't fucking read my post and then complain about me. It's unbecoming a lady. wink.

Sorry I was a ditz last night, it's been in the high 80s in our room at night, so until last night I'd been sleeping 3-4 hours a night. Not enough to make for a logical, able to pick up on sarcasm Phelia.
Do y'all have someone to look after satan cat yet?
And yes, advertising agencies should be killed for lots of stuff. But then, consumers should be able to realise that anything that seems too good/easy to be true probably is.
