So I wrote a whole big long update, then discovered that the pics aren't working. So, until I am more awake to fix it, just read my owners blog all the pics are there.

Alright, Caesar's mom here. I just need to vent for a minute. I can't really talk about this anywhere else.
My first year of college, a good friend of mine died. It was a long time ago, yet still at random times I get so mad about it. Not just that someone so young and talented died, but that we will never know what happened to her. First, it was rulede a homicide, then an accident, then a possible suicide, then just last year the case was reopened and they said it was possibly murder.
From a local news channel
"(04.13.04) (Winter Park-AP) -- The chief Miami-Dade County medical examiner will review the disputed cause of death of a Rollins College student six years ago. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has sent a letter to the father of Jennifer Kairis. It says Dr. Bruce Hyma will re-examine the death of 19-year-old Jennifer Kairis. The teen died March 31st, 1998, in her dormitory after a party. The death was suspicious from the beginning, since her body was found on the floor and marked with bruises from blows to the head and neck. A pathologists' report ruled it was a homicide. But Orange-Osceola Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Shashi Gore reversed the decision, saying Kairis died accidentally, likely of a drug overdose. But this past February, three current or former staff pathologists at the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner's Office disputed that finding. More recently, a University of Florida toxicologist raised the possibility the woman committed suicide. "
That was in 2004, and no real decision was ever made. It happened so long ago that there is not enough evidence. That's what set me off on this whole rant. I was watching Cold Case. How do they solve 20 year old crimes and yet this 7year old one is hopeless? Some medical examiners say it was an overdose (she had been drinking and was on prescriptions) but then how to explain the bruises? The police say since she was drunk walking home to her dorm room they came from her stumbling. I don't care how drunk a person is, it doesn't bruise your inner thighs or your neck, that comes from an assault.
I remember when I found out she died. The phone rang early in the morning, waking me up. It was my best friend Amy. When she told me that Jen had died. I hung up on her. We found out on April Fools Day, I thought it was some sick joke. When I found out it was real, I was just devastaed. She was not the first friend of mine to die, but to have someone snatched away in such a brutal, unexpected way.
last I heard, the most recent medical examiner says she died in a "selfdestructive gesture". WTF???? Is that like an accidental suicide? If she had wanted to kill herself she would have done something more extreme than beer and migraine madication.
Oh well. I need a beer. I am done with my rant. i doubt anyone has read this far but if you have, thanks for listening.
