Well, Dre Day came and wnet and if i may say so myself, we gave that muthafucka one hell of a 40th Birthday.
It's odd that out of every city i know, minneapolis is the one place where Dr. Dre's birthday is a HUGE deal. They crammed as many people into the triple rock as possible. They were actually selling 40s of OE (which is terrible but it's DRE DAY! you gotsta drink 40s). At midnight a huge Chronic leaf dropped from the ceiling on a pole to usher in one more year in the life of Andre Young.
After that, some of the most prominant Twin City MCs took the stage. Standing out free styling over Dre's beats were POS, Carnage, and Eyedea. Some of the shit that came out of thier mouths gave me chills. I would give anything to hear these guys actually work with Dre.
The audience was allowed to play a game called "The $20 Sack Pyramid." (basically, it's the $10000 pyramid with gangsta questions). Contestants could win "special" brownies, dre bumper stickers, Onion books, of Dr dre food products (some guy walked away with some ground chuck that had dre's photo on it). I added a few scans from dre day in to the New Fun folder, feel free to be awesome and take a look.
The teen movie based on my very odd dream is coming along well. Maybe tomorrow night i will post the actual dream. Right now i'm way too full on Perkin's Appetizer sampler.
