Almost exactly four years ago to the minute, an ex girlfriend almost ran me over at my Grandmother's funeral. I'll spare you the gorry details on this "almost" valentines day massacre and just say that i have some new pics up.
Have you ever read "A Modest Proposal?" If not, you may not get this:
Normally, i'm not one to agree with anything associated with the far right, especially when it comes to religion. But there is one subject i feel i must stand with the catholics on (maybe it is because i'm 3/4 polish and raised VERY cathoilic). They feel that certain "religous" holidays have strayed from their meaning and become a comercial dissaster.
Does anyone care that "X-Mas" is the birth of christ? Not really. Just look at the name. X-MAS.... X-Mas.... hmmm
I do feel the catholics are missing one of the most comercialized holidays; St. Valentines Day.
How did this holiday come about? Back in the OG days, this wonderful priest known now only as St. Valentine decided to marry young lovers. Lovers were people neck deep in sin, makin love, makin babies, makin booty shakin fun happen.
So what happened to Mr Valentine? His head was politely removed from his body and he became a martyr.
Do you really want loved ones to be your "Valentine" after this story? (ie: your lover who has been beheaded from helping fornicators?)
So tonight, while you beautiful people that get dates are sitting in that restaurant, ridding in that horse drawn carriage, screwing in your parent's basement, why not ask your significant other if they would be your martyr? Do it for jesus.
