What a week.
Started off my Canberra trip by getting drunk with a complete stranger that I sat next to on the plane (so much for my detox plans, next week I promise) which was surprising as we were on a 9am flight out of Perth, but due to the Perth time difference we could drink once in the air.
So after five beers and exchanging life stories with my new best friend 'Dave-o' we departed and went our separate ways, he went home and I headed straight to the bar at the Melbourne airport with the rest of my work crew.
Landed in Canberra at 6pm, and I was delighted to find out that it was happy hour at the Hotel's bar.. $3 Stella's!!! I was soon to discover that Canberra has some of the cheapest drinks I have ever come across and everywhere seems to have some kind of happy hour (which lasts 3-4 hours)...
I found $2 Burboun & Coke's, $3 Stella's, $4.00 Pints of Draught... I was in heaven!
So the three days were filled with conferences and hangovers, had a Gala Dinner at the War Memorial, which was 1940's fancy dress. Visited Parliament, and the National Gallery.
Then on Friday night I had the pleasure of a 'Canberra Hook-Up' at Phoenix with Raven6241, Steven & Spike_448... One of the coolest little 'hole in the wall' pubs I have been to in a while, and definately some of the coolest people i have met in a while as well. If you guys are ever in Perth make sure you let me know... It was an entertaining night indeed!
Not too sure what time I left but I managed to find my way back to the hotel / casino where I won all of my drinking money back at the Pontoon table... God bless gambling!
So.... What have I missed??? How are you all?
