so I went down town the other day to write in my more personal feelings journal, and I brought my homemade cookies with me. anyways I get down to the library (nice grassy area etc) and there's all these like heads of dreads, mohawks, and people wearing knitted sweaters all sitting in a circle. so figuring I probably know some of the them I glance over and scan the group till I recognize a face, it's justin from food not bombs. I wonder over aimlessly, and inspite of being free of any drugs, my hello and small talk was very spacy. a girl invites me to sit down, so that I do. and they are eating all this wicked vegan food, and offer to share it with me so I share my vegan cookies with them. we had such a wonderful conversation it was so funny and just like really interesting, and relaxing. (note that before this I was hanging around with PROUD white males, homophoic, etc etc kind of people) anyways so it was so meditative to be around them. then they start getting ready to leave, I ask were too and they tell me how they are going to go sign sanscript in a really funky jam style. so I ask if it's open house, and right after the yes of course. tim (another friend of mine) grabs hold of my hand and begins to pull me into the direction of their destination. one of the guys jeremy is talking to me and just his voice is relaxing and the walk there I was following them constently and they kept looking back with this excitment in their eyes and joy that I was going to take part in this with them. I get there and it's hugs all around, and we sit down on some meditation cushions, and jeremy takes out his drum, and people take out drums and guitars and they being to play this beautiful indian music, the words are designed to heal and relaxe different parts of the body through vibration depending on the word. I got so lost in the moment, I meditated that I was a tree and that I was collecting all this positive energy around me and then what i didn't use I recylced back into the earth. it was amazing, at one point I forgot I was alive. the next day we had a jam session outside, and it was really fun this time I brought my drum. it was so beautiful and thinking back on it it deffinitly was a life changing experience.
