I've been looking back to the past lately, reading old blogs, old conversations, old posts. Things seemed to be much better then or could it be that it didn't occur to us what could happen next.
I've been really into the Velvet Underground, the art and culture of the time. It has lead to interesting conversations with my husband. He's fourteen years older so he was able to witness the rise of the punk and grunge eras. He thinks that millenials are not rebelling against anything. I feel the same way too. They are just too wrapped up in getting the most likes or taking the best selfie to really question anything.
I've noticed that people come and go in my life. In my adult life the longest relationship I've had so far lasted four years. He just stopped talking to me shortly after I moved. It stung at first. I had sent a text message to make sure he received his birthday card. Never got a response. I had to put it past me.
Questions for you...
Is there anyone from the past you wish you could talk to again? What would you say?
Are you rebelling against something?
Music for the evening.
