I'm a newbie at this whole internet blogging thing. I hate myspace, and up until now have only used the internet for email!
So here's my story...
I grew up in Colorado my whole entire life. The last two years I was there, I lived with my fiance in the heart of the city (Denver is so small now that I've been around!). We pretty much just worked and did whatever in our spare time...and we got sick of it real fast. So what did we do? We decided to move to Amsterdam! And we did.
This is one of the many, many canals that run through the heart of the city.
The flower market!!!!
This is my fiance, Abram, and I hanging out in Vondel Park, the coolest park I've ever been to!
And this is the motivation behind our journey!
Alright, so Abram, my fiance, worked for the Hard Rock Cafe in Denver, CO. He transferred to the Hard Rock Amsterdam, but his VISA fell through!! So, after plenty of this...
and plenty of this...
we eventually ran out of money and spent a couple of nights in Schipol Airport. My mom's boyfriend finally came to the rescue and got us tickets to Atlanta, GA, where Abram's brother lives.
Soooo, that's where we are right now.
I can't really say much about Atlanta, except I'm ready to get the fuck out of here.
I mean, I've done some fun things while we've been here...we went to Pensacola, FL in August for Abram's birthday!
I got a job at the Atlanta Hard Rock...it was fun for the most part!
We rescued a stray kitty that we're taking on the road with us! His name is Maynard.
Abram started tattooing, which means free and unlimited tats for me!!!! WOOHOO!
(That's the first tat he did on himself)
I've started making a new kind of jewelry (I made beaded jewelry before)
(just a couple of sample of my necklace charms I've started making. I also make gauged earrings in the same style.)
We bought a 1995 Dodge Ram Conversion van to drive back to Colorado in! It's awesome, it has a t.v., an automatic seat that folds out into a bed, track lighting, and all other sorts of cool things! We're planning a road trip back to Colorado on the 18th or 19th of this month.
We've decided to go back to school since we've been here. After our brief stop in Colorado, we're going to be moving on up to Seattle, WA! We're going to try and get into the University of Washington there, I'd like to study Botany. Abram is going to try and get his masters in art. Here's a couple of his greatest pieces.
