Well, I've only been on this site for almost 3 years now, and done not much more than a fair bit of drooling and jerking off! 'Bout time I contributed for those who are actually interested. This past weekend was my parents 40th wedding anniversary. Pretty amazing that they've been together that long. And still happy. Both my grandparents made 60+, but they were miserable from pretty much day one. In any case the party was the usual good time that my family makes of it. 65 people showed up from all over the continent to wish them well.
It's too bad dad is so sick, that he could only enjoy it for a couple of hours. 11 months ago on the Victoria Day long weekend (May) he was diagnosed with inoperable brain, lung and lymph node cancer. He's been radiated twice and chemo'd once. The second bout of radiation was fairly recent and has left him quite weak. He's to be evaluated in the next week or so, then they'll decide whether or not to re-start chemo again.
Enough doom and gloom. I only mention it now, in case it comes up later. The party was otherwise a smash. We're a fairly musical family, so we hired a DJ with full Karaoke gear. We had everything from a 2 year old singing "Twinkle Twinkle," To me singing "Enter Sandman" There were many drinks consumed and after we shut down the hall, a couple of dozen of us hit a local bar. We all got pretty toasted, and one of my cousins insisted on picking up 2 large women who were interested in the contents of my kilt! This before hauling my drunken ass outta there! The next day I started to thank her for rescuing me from these less than fair maidens, when I realized that she was the one who started it!!
In any case, a good time was had by all (or at least most), and it all made for interesting talk at the brunch we had the next day.
I MC'd the party, so I didn\'t really have time for many pics, and a sporan is no place for a camera, so I only have some shots from my cell. Maybe more to follow.
This would be Jodi - the trouble maker...
Katie, another cousin - highland dancer, also resplendent in kilt!
My parent's cutting their cake.
Well that\'s it for now. I will follow up with more pics, if any are worth sharing.

Yeah. I'm ok. Thanks for asking. Doing so prompted me to finally do a new blog myself.
