Yeah, I'm actually posting. And yeah, I know it's been awhile, but I'm a lazy shite. Quick review of my past year: I left Bahrain in February, had a hell of a good time on leave, thirty-five days worth. Got to D.C. in March, had to stay in the barracks. The barracks suck, by the way. I started working in Patrols, and now I'm the...

I finally got a car! Wooooohoooo! I got a '03 Volkswagen Passat. I love it, it's MY car. Though when I tell people what kind of car I got, most of them say "That figures, you look like a Volkswagen person". Now just what the bloody hell is that suppose to mean? What the hell does a VW person look like?
deathtoforls:
a logical dude?
congrats!
I just bought a Scion XB and feel like I'm driving a cereal box.
lizzi:
I'm doing well, thank you! kiss

I am FINALLY getting the rest of my furniture on Monday. I've been in D.C. since March, and I'm FINALLY getting the rest of my crap. No more sitting on five dollar thrift store chairs, or cardboard boxes, LOL! But then again, aren't most "bachelor pads" like that? Heh. So, how the bloody hell is everyone?

Not much going on, it's 0150 and I just got home from work. I'm still digging through my sixty-plus boxes of crap, but I am making progress. I have close to a thousand books. I freaking love books! But other than that, I got nothing. How the bloody hell is everyone?

Looks like it's coming up on your 1Yr SG anniversary!! Congrats. It's good to see people who've been around for awhile. So, geek huh? Tell me about your books and we'll talk about this friendship you offer. wink Oh, and how long have you been a navel officer? That sounds exciting!

What's next? Telling me who I can, and can't call? Bollocks!

Okay, I haven't posted in a while, but being a geek, I feel I have to post the following. This is from Scott Kurtz, creator of PVP, an online comic:

I want to encourage everyone who reads PvP to learn as much as possible about the concept of Network Neutrality and about the new...

Okay, I've been in Washington D.C. for almost three weeks, and I have to say that it isn't that bad. I'm still living in the barracks, which isn't all that great, but I'm hoping to move into my place tomorrow. I found a nice two bedroom/1bath in Lorton, VA. So now all I need is a vehicle. Looking to get a Nissan Frontier. Also, the...

What's new with me? Well, um, read my journal. I MUCH prefer comments to private messages, actually, unless there's something truly private.

How do you like your new place? A friend of mine is stationed in San Diego actually, and another friend is in Afghanistan. Speaking of, I need to go see if he's still alive. I better go do that now.
tita:
Did you get the place? Having my own digs always makes me feel better. smile

Okay, I am now in Miami, have been since the 23rd. It's been a great time here, got ahold of some old friends, made some new ones! I'll be in Washington D.C. from the 1st to the 4th on Navy business, then back down to Miami for the rest of my vacation, then back to DC on the 13th to be stationed at the Naval...

Now I'm in San Diego til the 23rd of Feb to visit friends, and then it's off to Miami for friends AND...

Holy crap, it's finally sinking in that I'm actually going to leave the Middle East after two and a half years. Ginchy! I'll be transfering to Washington D.C. in March, would be nice to make some contacts/friends/whatever, as I'll be stationed there for three years. So come on people! Show me some love! Word. Heh.
datura:
I'm really happy for you that you get to leave! I know they extended everyone's stay in the Middle East as it was so get the hell out of there! I ALWAYS appreciate a shout out so anytime just say hello. I'm like an embryonic dork with my computer most the time, all attached and shit. Okay, I gotta write a paper now. Be safe!
