there's nothin like the weekend...even if you might be like me & have your weekend relocated to the middle of the week...there's nothin like it sometimes....my boss at the coffee shop has yet to give me some kind of schedule so i actually did get 2 days in a row off from both places & got to spend both with my lovely puppy.. 
tuesday night was my friday night which was filled with much needed "business time"
& some orderin of pizza which accompanied some xfiles viewin...our hump day was lovely sleepin in, more "business time" , & some shopping plus yummy dinner....my puppy was ever soooo wonderful as to endure much thrift shopping with me this "weekend"...i love the thriftin & it pleases me ever soooo much....usually it tisn't puppy's thing so i don't push it....i hope to someday find a good thriftin buddy to fill in for him since sometimes he seems like he's bein tortured... 
....but i did make some serious finds...i gots 3 new skirts,3 pairs of shorts, 2 suit coats, & 3 new suits as well as the sweet tom & jerry tie he found me & 2 cds i got all for under $60... 
super awesome ....then we went to a lil beer & wine shop where he found somethin & i found a creme brulee stout that i'm intrigued to try 
i have gotten a lil more into some beer-type drinkin as of late, which is astonishin...as is the fact that i'm keepin it all in moderation 
today we went out & stocked up on some concert tickets....

also...whilest out & about exploring the city & purchasin above said tickets...i discovered another show i'm seriously considerin goin to....
which is most likely gonna happen cuz i've loved this guy since 95 .....
we then had yummy dinner & fun was had at uncle fun's......
followed by lovely dessert & buyin gwyneth(puppy's car) a lovely present...
i find that sometimes chicago is lovely cuz there's lots to do & explore....that could be cuz i grew up on a holler in nowhere VA, the cliche coal-miner's daughter even....other times, i find that it sucks my soul away....which could be cuz i live in the jungle & work for a soul-sucking corporation....by th way,speakin of the jungle....anybody find it odd that before i moved here i started using a solid conditioner on my hair called jungle?...maybe that, along with bein a white girl named teneka gives me enough street cred to make it in my hood....
i picked up some books from the library this week too....i'm stoked to read em...i recently finished cormac mccarthy's the road & am in the middle of freak show by james st.james but it isn't all i wanted it to be....i decided since i thoroughly enjoy this...
i should check out where it al began
i kinda dread work cuz my boss is outta town @ the theatre & i have to play gm again
...but oh wells...at least there's time for the farmer's market on saturday..and i'm sure me & the puppy can fit in some fun elsewhere too....
i ramble when tis bed time....just remember this kids....i feel like this lately...
