Saw this in Quinne's journal... it illustrates EXACTLY what's wrong with our country in one powerful pictoral statement:
In other news, I have very important job interviews this week. I'm no longer working at my old jobs, and I'm in the process of finding a full-time, better-paying one.
My first interview is tomorrow morning for a paralegal position at Kalypsys, a drug discovery company focused on the development of new medicines for cancer, inflammation and metabolic diseases. Sounds daunting. It's amazing I got this interview in the first place, considering the little experience that I have. EEEEKKKKK. I'm actually kinda nervous. I never get that nervous usually, but this will be my first real job interview - all my other jobs were more casual and I could wear whatever I wanted.
I just went out today to get some "business attire," aka conservative suits, dress shirts with collars and buttons, all the clothes that I would NEVER normally wear (I wear clothes more along the lines of fishnets, mesh shirts, armbands, low cut tops, everything not business appropriate). I have to say that I clean up nicely though- I have 2 very nice suits that are as hip as suits can be I guess. I better nail the interview - I REALLY NEED THE INCOME. Not to mention the experience! Both jobs sound amazing for someone just coming out of UCSD and who has little experience under her belt. I was told that the interview would be 3 1/2 hours long - damn, I'm gonna be interrogated! Cross your fingers for me!
But wait - it's not over yet! On Weds. I have an interview for an Executive Assistant position for the CEO of Ansata Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company that develops topical drugs for dermatology use. That one sounds even more daunting, doesn't it? I hope I have a chance at one of them... I need to start saving up money for art school, cuz we all know that that's gonna drain my pocket and put me in debt forever. I need all the $$ I can get.
On a happier note, I leave for my vacation to Florida in about a week!! Family reunion in Florida with my dad's side, and then a 4-day cruise around the Carribean. Wheeeee! I'm so excited. Time to work on my summer tan and look hot so I can hit on hot men. I'm oh so painfully single. haha. I'm just being lame. I really don't give a shit. Men make women like me too messy.
xoxo till later!
