I haven't updated in a while because my internet connection has been on the fritz... damn internet... but I'm back!
1. I've been looking for a new job in the non-profit field, especially one serving those with developmental disabilites. I'm hoping to finally put my Psychology degree to some use. I had two interviews last week for similiar positions (called a "mobility trainer"), which entail aiding the disabled in finding normal jobs and managing the basic daily activities of their lives. It sounds challenging yet rewarding, so let's hope I hear back from one of them...
2. I'm still thinking of moving, although I don't think it'll be out of state anymore. I've decided that Portland's too rainy for my liking. I'll probably move to somewhere else in San Diego that's more affordable. I'd rather stay down here than move back home!
3. I've applied for and have been accepted to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, which is my top school choice because of its awesome New Media program and beautiful location, of course. Once I figure out my financial aid and housing biznatch, I'll be in SF in no time! By next fall, to be exact. I'm so damn excited. I've been waiting to go to art school FOREVER. One of my New Year's goals for this year has been achieved!! Yes!!
4. I've finished reading My Friend Leonard by James Frey, and it was just as intense as his first novel. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of his work. I'm now reading an outrageous narrative about the hedonistic realm of club culture in the 90's called ClubLand: The Fabulous Rise and Murderous Fall of Club Culture by Frank Owen. Ever since I saw the movie Party Monster, I've been intrigued by the reckless, drug-infused New York club scene. Owen recounts brazen nights of opulent parties at the famous Limelight, fantastical costumes, gender-bending club kids, notorious drug-fueled orgies, sneaky mobsters and criminals, and a general sense of out-of-control excess and decadence. My kind of story...

5. I updated my art album - the pictures of my art are much clearer, not as blurry as before. I've also added new sketches, such as the ones I drew of SGs Chloe, Nala, and Rapture. I liked their particular poses in their photo sets. Check out my updated album here: Kit's Artwork
Chloe from her Bachelor photoset.
Nala from her In Silver photoset.
Rapture from her In the Fields photoset.
Modeled after a random goth chick I found on the web somewhere... I don't even remember where...
