This is my first blog in a while. I suppose I have been neglecting it. Two months can sure fly by if you let it. If only I could wake up 5 months from now- If only.
It is pretty fucking hot in Iraq right about this time of year. It hangs around 120 degrees during the day.
Shitty right?
There is a point in everyones life when they realize they can only watch so many Samuel L. Jackson movies before you want to kill him. I think I'm at that point. Maybe I watch to many movies.
Books have been holding true for me though; keeping me company when we have to sit in the hmmwv and do nothing for hours. They tell me I will run out of books to read. I really don't read that fast though. Not like those speed reading freaks you used to see on T.V.
I like reading Stephen King, but not his scary ones. (I sort of a giant pussy when It comes to scary shit)
I like John Girsham. His style keeps it simple. Tom Clancy is cool, although he skips around so much. Soooo..
I suppose action type books, or books with very defined conflict. What is the point of a book with no conflict.
So that's the low down for now... Just hanging out in Ghazalia. Going on patrol in hot hot sun a few hours every day. Watching movies, reading books, playing guitar the rest of the day. (and night)
"Burning the candle at both ends" as they say.
Oh by the way.... Call of Duty 4 = Tits!

Do you like Dean Koontz, John Saul, Peter Straub, stuff like that? I've got quite a collection of books if you'd like some. Be more than happy to send 'em over to you.
Anyways, keep safe.
