I figured turning 35 was a good reason to post something new, considering I haven't posted since December.
Getting together this weekend with some friends for trivia night at our place in honour of my birthday and before the party even shows up there was drama. Patty and I have a smallish apartment, so we only invited friends who we knew would interested in playing board games. Of course someone we didn't invite heard and you'd have sworn we'd shot their puppy while peeing in their All-Bran. Now this wasn't done out of any ill will, but only because of size limitations and the fact that they've never really been the board game type. I think what bothered me the most is rather than call us and clear things up, they pout to our friends until it gets back to us. I then say "man, it wasn't like that. If they want to come, consider them invited." Of course, now they refuse to invite the invitation. I figured, at 35, I was done with high school antics like this. Oh well, if they come on Saturday, they're welcome, if not I'll still be owning at Trivial Pursuit.
Actually, Saturday is shaping up to be a pretty great day this weekend. Starting the day off with a free screening of "Back To The Future." Then probably hitting up the record store for some new vinyl. After being responsible and getting groceries and paying bills, I'll be heading home to play some Clash on Rocksmith. I love that game (I can't say it enough) and they released The Clash track pack right before my birthday, so thank you, Ubisoft. Finally, rounding out the night with trivia and possibly pizza.
So, clearly, there is just too much awesome stuff happening tomorrow to let someone stuck in grade 10 to bring me down.
Until next post, everyone have a great day, week, fortnight or however long it takes me to post again.
