Man, the days are just packed, to steal a Calvin and Hobbes line. So much so that I've been relegated to only having time to check out sets and no time for blogs. Had some spare moments this morning so I figured I'd post some of the goings on of my existence for anyone who is interested.
XWA is into our winter season and it looks like my character is getting an upgrade. I won't give it away until all is said and done with the reveal, but I will say I'm really looking forward to moving into the more visible role.
Patty and I went out to the storage unit this past weekend to get our Christmas decorations and had a rather unexpected, unpleasant surprise. One of our totes was full of mildew. We saved most of the stuff, but a couple of things had to be thrown out. Among those things were cookbooks from Patty's grandmother. She was pretty upset about that, but there was nothing that could be done. They looked like they had been dug out of the ground, they were that covered.
We also took in a Rockabilly/Burlesque show. It was a pretty good time. Cool tunes and sexy ladies. Probably would have been better had the venue been a little larger, but it was still really great night. It also made me wish that an SG burlesque show would come around to my neck of the woods.
Halloween was a pretty great time this year. Patty went as Nurse Jackie and got all kinds of complements on her costume. I went as Travis Bickle and got nothing but "why didn't you wear a costume?" After I explained who I was dressed as and what movie it was from, I got nothing but "I've never seen that movie." I'm tellin' ya, sometime I feel like my friends are a bunch of Philistines.
Finally, this Sunday is Grey Cup day. As a Canadian football fan, I will be camped out on the couch for the game. I'm not traditionally an Argos fan, but as a dyed in the wool Eskimos fan I have to say "GO ARGOS!"
I'm out for now. Have a good one and drive safe everyone.
