Another hectic weekend has come and gone. Saturday was SUPER packed. Started with a birthday party for 3 folks at the same time. My aunt, my nephew (and Godson) and my Dad. Sweet BBQ and a pretty good afternoon with family. One thing I will note, June 9th is a TAD early to be getting in the pool. I could have posed for a hopefuls set it was that cold. =D

Followed that up with a derby bout. The Shipyard Sirens pulled out an OT win against the visiting Lumbersmacks from Moncton. Patty got a new HTC phone on Saturday (a whole other story all together) so we used it to take a bunch of pics of the bout and I got off my butt and actually uploaded them to my profile, so feel free to check them out.

Finished up the night with a diaper party for one of out XWA refs. It was a pretty good time despite one of the guys being a total pig towards the end telling stories of how awesome him and his numerous one night stands were. I also got punched in the face by our promoter, but luckily it was an in-ring punch and he pulled it. Still, contact to the face when you're not expecting it is not that fun.... but it was pretty funny in retrospect.

Sunday was a nice day with my other Godson and his dad while Patty went to the ref's wife's baby shower. The little guy loves 2 things for sure. Slides and Spider-Man. Not sure which one I'm prouder of. Out to the folks place for supper with them for a more personal birthday celebration with dad. Finished the whole thing with hanging out with the other XWA ref and playing "Burn Zombie Burn" while Patty and his wife talked about the "50 Shades..." books.

I've had a pretty good couple of weekends these past few, but I'll tell ya, I'm looking forward to only having roller derby next weekend. On a side note: One week from today.... ROLLINS!
