People can be cruel, specially when it comes to Friday 13th and Halloween. There are plenty of animal cruelty and abuse in those days. But when it comes to this time of year, they usually prefer the black cats. This is more than likely due to a long history of association between black cats and bad luck. Black cats do not bring bad or good luck to owners, unless you count the good luck of having a sweet, loving, furry best friend.
I tend to avoid people who doesn't like animals, and most of all, when an animal doesn't like someone. I was always attracted by animals, as you could see on my childhood pictures. I just don't get how someone not like them, they are the purest souls, like our little angels. I avoid to see pictures of shelters and such, it always get me sad.
I don't have any pets right now, when I moved my mom kept our 2 black poodles and our cat. They were more adapted to her, so it wouldn't be fair. When life gets better, I will probably adopt one myself.
But I am always visiting my friend's pet, when I am needing a little love!
Last week I worked as a cat sitter for a friend, she was ill so needed to go to her mother's home for care. I went to her place everyday to give them food, changing the water and cleaning. And also giving them a little care! She has 2 black cats, Jaeger and Petit. Jaeger was more shy, so he kept hiding from me the whole time, but I was sure to check if he was there. One day he was at the closet, then he would move his hiding from under the bed. two times I got him in the living room while I entered the house, he would look at me for some time and then go to his safe spot. But Petit became my little friend. It was wen I was most depressed, and she would just lay on my lap and purr. I just stayed there, more than 2 hours sometimes, playing with her and not wanting to leave. It was healing. She helped me more than I can ever imagine it. And I am grateful for that.
Isn't she the cutest thing?
So, if you have any pets, post them here in the comments!
See you soon!
