"adapt to change, change is gooood" rings the mantra in my ears. Still kinda freaks me out though.
My week kinda sucked I guess. Went north 'for work' expectinng at least a little down time to get in the sea or go for a run. Sadly, the togs and runners were simply excess bggage. They kept us at it from 7am thursday until 7pm friday,...

Fat Lazy sunday. Walked the dogs. marked lit reviews. Ate. drank shiraz. Better get back on the bike tomorrow. Time to start rehydrating...
Listening to OMD. Wish all my old stuff hadn't got nicked. Some of it was quite good, with hindsight.

Cool! Thanks for the offer of help. I'm already a little lost and we're only on Ch. 2
Is the TdF site streaming video, or just commentary? Ours comes via OLN (outdoor life network) who have the cable channel that I need to upgrade for. Only commentary online. Do you know is Eurosport or anyone else providing video stream?
Have a safe trip and some good swims!! I'm envious cuz our weather here is still crap: cold and rain.

So how was your week?
55Km out west plus 1 hour of pilates. Reformer. Makes a differnece. Back seems fixed.
Justiified big lunch by the river with bottle of 2005 chardonnay
Watched galaxy quest (on TV) again. still makes my laugh. Alan rickman and Sigourney weaver both stand out.
Heaps of work to do tomorrow. Might bike or run in the afternnon though. Should take the dogs running really, or...

Good -> great weather make any city more tolerable. And I suspect that good weather causes the citizens to make a nice city nicer. That said, Minneapolis Minnesota is ungodly cold in the winter, but it's a rockin' town.
All i know is that New England is truly one of the cesspools of the planet. Not a single redeeming feature.

Efforts. The anticipation (dread) of efforts always underestimates how gut wrenchingly awful they are. Its 6.25am. 5 minutes to off. 20 mins of pilates done plus stretches. Small coffee. Bike shoes. I walk like C3PO in bike shoes ("master luke would never approve"). iPod under beanie under helmet.
Gem.

Oooooh!!! Great ride!
And on a work day! Yeah, Dancing Horses should be on the cool down phase I would think.
How far was it? And 30 secs down after a back injury, a year off and a year older doesn't seem so bad, does it? And, from 173 to 117 is awesome!
Boys are so competitive Save something for the weekend
Note to self: download Belly...
And of course I am bringing my bike! I read somewhere that the softride breaks down and fits in a golf bag (except for the wheels of course). The whole thing goes carry-on.
Where in Oz are you?

"My back will be 40 years old next year and i reckon it deserves that ride-on-air feel you only get with carbon"
Me too (except I'll be 39), hence the softride. It's in my pics. It's very pretty. I'm looking for some cornflower blue shoes to match it.

"Alternatively, i could sneakily do a load of hill rep sessions while he is tapering for a marathon at the end of june."
I think that's your optimal plan We old people have to rely on our wiles and brains or we would have no way to compete.
A couple years ago I did an organized ride across Montana - well, not all the way across cuz Montana is f-ing huge - but 700 miles across, including Rocky Mountains. It was awesome. Anyway, in order to train for it I had to get up at ungodly early hours to fit the rides in, which meant getting up 4:30/5-ish. It blew my mind that there were so many people out that early! It's like a whole different culture, those early risers. All that to say, good on you for getting up at 5:30 on a work day. Or any day, for that matter and going for a ride.

Sad, but I love these...
Thats it. I've had it with doctors. After half an hour and 240 of my hard earned dollars we had spent 5 minutes discussing how to fix my sodding back so I can ride again, and 25 minutes of me giving him advice on preventing infections on in dwelling devices. Where's my fee? Then he refers me to one of his golfing buddies so that...

I'm American; we sugar everything. Hence, our appalling mind-blowing obesity.
Also, I am not a natural coffee drinker. I am just doing it for the weight loss and the caffiene. So I am using sugar.
