My brother is doing really good. He wasn't seriously hurt but he has started seeing a therapist. My ex step-father is currently in jail... I'm not really sure what is going to happen there though.
In other news:
I'm on stress overload.
Yesterday, I found out that my radiator is cracked. It is going to cost me $300 to replace.
This morning, when speeding down the interstate so I could make it to my final on time, I got a speeding ticket. Now... I can't even be mean to the cop because he was REALLY fucking nice about it. However, I'm a little pissed off that it is $208.50.
Then, when I checked my mail, I got a notice from my school that I owe the library $100 for books that I checked out for my roommate and then who, apparently, never returned them liked she promised.
So, all in all... I owe around $600.
Which is all the money that I saved in order to get to Texas... which now means that I can't go. And, that seriously sucks because all I want to do is 1) see my brother and 2) spend the last weeks of my grandfathers life with him.
I fucking hate money.

and it all falls in the category of 'money that really isn't necessary to pay'. Personally, I think fines are a legal way of stealing.

I know it sound cliche but these things have a way of working out. You don't have any friends that you can borrow some cash from and pay back later. I mean what are friends for if they don't help out in your time of need.
