June 11th I played with The Nickel Slots at Cesar Chavez Park Downown Sacramento. It was such a blast!!!!! There was a great turn out, lots of friends and family of course lots of dancing homeless. Jerry Perry did an excellent job as always and I can't wait to play again next year!!!
Here is a picture that my friend Kiny took of me.
As a drummer I feel most comfortable playing loud. Feel is the biggest thing. Unlike a guitar player or bass player if they play hard they can adjust there volume by a turn of a knob. Drummers can't do that so we physically have to adjust by not playing as hard. In a venue that is outside it's not an issue like a club because they have a huge PA. With that being said after the third song I looked down at my hand and there was blood all over.
Kiny took this picture of my hand after the show.
Afterwards I had to break my shit down and then go set up and Old Ironsides that night. At the end I was tired as FUCK!!!!! But Old I's was great as well.
Anyways........... After Friday a couple of the band members went on vacation so we do not practice again until July 6th and our first show back is July 9th. This is driving me a crazy!!!!!! The 11th was such a great show it's like having great sex with a slamming girl one night and you have to wait a month before you enjoy it again. So in the meantime I've been running and working out.
The good thing is that July is slammed with shows!!!!!

Great show! I had a blast *although there was no one for me to dance with and I was freaking out to the point my hands started to glisten* and it was great meeting you. Hope to see Nickel Slots again ... soon.
It's actually still on.
The bass player's shirt is shiny.
