Tomorrow morning I head out to the northern Cascade Mountains for some camping through Friday. Once again I'm slightly apprehensive about this because it's a place I've never been to before but it sounded interesting and off the beaten path. Just got done washing the car, don't ask me why I washed it before going on a road trip when in all honesty it'll have to be washed again after getting back home. I just like it nice and shiny, can you blame me?
One other thing I've started doing is changing my bed linens the night before a road trip. This way my bed has nice clean sheets when I get home without having to spend any additional effort since more than likely I'll be exhausted. Hoping that the spot that was reserved isn't still occupied by someone that decided to stay longer at the last minute. It's right along the river and rather looking forward to that. Going to be breaking in a new tent and sleeping bag. After my excursion to The Hoh I discovered that mummy bags are not great for people that tend to roll around and splay their limbs about whilst attempting the sleeps. It was also observed that the single person tent that I assumed would be adequate for just one person was in fact rather tiny and might be best suited for those of hobbit stature. Thus my online procurement of yet more camping gear commenced and was delivered yesterday. Free Sunday delivery is just too fecking neat.
The goal is to get some nice photos and try to relax far away from cell phone signals and internets. To come back not so crabby as I've been lately. Seems my patience for people and their shenanigans has reached it's limit and they're getting to me.
My only regret is that I can't take the Freeloader with me. She's so jumpy she'd have a nervous breakdown before even getting there.
It'll be hard (as usual) to sleep without her having to sleep next to my pillow and try to lay on my hand.
