I finally made it back out to Coal Creek after my last visit in February. All the snow has finally melted and it's even more green there than it was. You know you've found the right forest when you're hit with that dark musty forest smell. Coal Creek has it. Another indicator is when you look down and without even having to look, you see at least 10 millipedes in the moss and ground cover. By far one of my favorite places to go and I've still not taken the whole trail yet. Hoping this year to camp out and explore even more. Currently it's about 80 miles one way just go but very much worth it. While I still have a few hundred photos to go through just from yesterday, here's a small peek, in no particular order.
