Before dawn at Liberty Lake. It was about 19°F with a bitter wind. I almost went home with what looked like two rag doll kittens that were hiding underneath pine needles in the brush. Their eyes reflecting off my headlamp gave them away but they were far too skittish to allow me to get close let alone bring them home. Hoping for better results tomorrow and to even get my car back.
