I'm working on a new script tonight. Usually whenever I begin a story, I'll create a mix tape/soundtrack to work off for inspiration.
Here's my current playlist:
1. The Guns of Brixton - Nouvelle Vague
2. Sort It Out - Caesars
3. Clampdown - The National
4. Never Ending Math Equation - Modest Mouse
5. I Heard Ramona Sing - Frank Black
6. Little Arithmetics - Deus
7. Hello I Love You - The Cure
8. My Wandering Days Are Over - Belle and Sebastian
9. Head On - The Jesus & Mary Chain
10. High Fidelity - Elvis Costello
11. Life on a Chain - Pete Yorn
12. These Days - Nico
13. (Track 3) - Polyphonic Spree
14. Hitsville UK - Joy Zipper
15. Love Letter - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
The story?
A bloody divorce. A Russian foreign exchange student named Klara. And Dr. Phil.
This one has been fun. It's a satire about moving on with your life, instead of worrying about salvaging a shipwrecked past. (And no, it's not autobiographical. Although, a few of my friends have gone through divorces lately...) While writing, I've come across some surprisingly touching moments.

Really, I like the mix tape idea. I'm going to give it a try.
I cannot believe you have: Ramona Sing, Little Arithmetics, Head On... Me and you could do a road trip; we have the same musical taste.
