The other half is finally back from the maldives. The first thing she asked was "do we have anything fort sun bunr". My answer was "er, yeah....fucking skin grafts!" Despite being Maltese and used to the sun (and a passsionate purchaser of gunk, creams and ungents) she neglected to remember that being on a Hobbie Cat for 4 hours will result in serious damage. I'm currently pealing her back and making up a binder of human parchment to scribble notes on!
On top of that the Plymouth has decided that the previous owners dodgy radiator fix was not good enough and dumped about four litres of green water on my drive after a hot run (racing a mustang - I won by the way). The rad has gone off to be recored, and I've just got an electric water pump and fan to help things out. Luckily, beign a magazine car, I get ecerything trade so the bill is bot quite in the 500 zone yet. Couple that with a new interior (600) and a new carb and manifold and the money pit has cost me nearly 2,000 since I bought it! Ho-hum, such is hot rod building. It is getting a bunch of chrome engine parts and a clean up this weeek, then it is off for a serious stereo instal courtesey of the mag, so that is going to easily see away my loss by a couple of grand.
Businesss is shit, I have lost half of my biggest clients business so I'm getting off my arse to hustle. Still I have to shoot a '61 chrysler, 59 olds, 69 GTO and 69 camaro (1,500bhp pro street car) this month, so that will soften the blow. Plus I have picked up a shoot at the launch of a new bar which will pay well and feed me beer all night!!
Happy days!
