Bloody models. I've just got back from waiting outside a girls house for her and her friend to do a test shoot. I think she got cold feet as sher called to blow me out. The stoopid thing is I think she was expecting me to get her naked and rattle off 200 frames. All I wanted was to get her stats, and overview of what she wnated to do and then a facial shot so I could bung her on my developingmodel register (due to me released in the early summer).
Anyhoo....I have had some progress on the studio, the council wants me to apply for permission because the site is "within 20m of a highway". The highway in question is a three foot wide alley that I have only ever seen used for drug dealing and courting couples! My decision?....fuck 'em. I'm building it anyway!
It's not going to be huge, about 30 square meters, but enough for an infinity cove and for me to shoot on 50mm for a full lenght. It should do okay with an 80mm on my 'blad. I bought a manfrotto paper management system today so I'll start with that and build the cove as soon as I get around to it.
All car plans are on hold until I find somehting I really want. Everytime I sell a car the money burns a hole in my pocket and I end up buying something I regret. Plus I did some shooting for a bike mag last year and I have a hankering for a Harley V-Rod.
Looks like Prince Charles and that old lizard are finally tying the knot. The queen has given them her blessing so I guess she won't be sanctioning an assasination just yet...........only kidding, if you want conspiracy theories your in the wrong forum!
Oh, and I just bought a Dyson hoover which is the dullest fact I have ever typed into a computer. It's white, which is the new blueberry, which was the new beige.....apparently.

A fine jpg out of my 10D measures 3072 pixels by 2048 @ 180dpi. I should stair interpolate that to 300 dpi in 10% increments as the first step. If I choose to go larger than the out of camera size (roughly 17x11), I want to incremental increase pixels by 10% increments also, or is that redundant given I'll already cranked up the resolution to 300 dpi? Conversely, if I'm cropping, I'd do so after the upsizing to 300 dpi..
If this is true, it would seem that I want to basically size my image to its final format prior to applying any corrective actions (contrast, etc.) with the USM being the absolute last action I'd use.
Does this make sense, or have I overanalyzed?
Thanks!!!
