Enjoying a few days off right now
Went up to see my mum and Jeff yesterday with Paula (seeing as leigh is still pox-ridden.. although the fact he is now asking for pizza and perving over me in my little lace skirt and lace knee highs somehow tells me his on the mend *lol* ) Had a really lovely evening with a nice dinner, ice-cream and wine followed by a trip to the theatre to see Vampires Rock (flimsy excuse for a story, great chance to see some classic rock songs performed in an amusing setting though, would actually highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys classic rock via Queen, Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Led Zep, Meatloaf etc) and then back to my mums for a giggle over a cup of tea at the old photo albums (dear god all those BAD hair cuts... although I still defend my poodle perm at the age of 13, i thought i was the dogs bollocks then, which is probably an appropriate description if the dog in question was what a mess ) I forget how many beautiful clothes my mother had when she was younger and curse her for not being psychic enough to realise how much her daughter would have wanted them when she was grown up *lol* We're talking classic Mary Quant and BIBA etc for godsake!
Was a real fun giggly night. My mom and Jeff are cool. And jeff is going to make me a sword now too! Yay! (He's a lecturer and the subject he teaches is welding so he can do loads of cool stuff, and he made all these fab swords for this medieval battle recreation society, so i want one too now)
Anyway before i buggar off and drool over my new HIM DVD that came today (i've been told i have to put headphones on *lol*) I'll leave you with this fab picture of my fabulous mother when she was about 17 or 18.
Wasn't she a doll
