Lately I feel like a stranger in my skin.
I feel uncomfortable beneath my muscles.
Where is it that keeps the thing that I consider to be myself?
in my bones?
in my veins?
in my blood?
in my brain?
Wherever it has gone, i hope it returns soon

Thanks, this pic was taken at the Venice Canals near Venice Beach. You've never been there? You should go, you're a California girl aren't you?

Speaking of early Hebrew culture -- well, maybe more like middle-ish Yiddish culture -- that feeling of not recognizing yourself in the mirror is sort of the real-world stem of the legend of the dybbuk, the monster that lives behind mirrors. For this reason, "Don't look in the mirror" is a great rule when on hallucinogens.
