The happy halmark holiday was great. Aaron and I had a wonderful evening. Went to a yummy japanese dinner and out for drinks. It was nice to have an evening with just the 2 of us.

Here's another peice of the book, a small peice, but a peice non the less.

As I decided to start writing my memories of the mortuary I found it sad that I had a hard time remembering a lot of the people who had crossed my path after they had died. I feel a bit of guilt, I mean what if it were someone in my family that was being forgotten that would make me sad that they didnt leave their mark, something so that they would be remembered.

I also thought of all of the things that go on that the general public dont know even if they have had someone die and have had to go through the whole process of planning the funeral or the services for their family or friends. I know that I did my best to always treat each person as if it was someone that I knew or even someone in my family. I tried to keep their dignity so that if that person was watching me from the other side (if you will) that they would be okay with the way that they were being treated. I tried to make good decisions and I tried not to lie to people. I tried to be as good of a person as I could be. I tried to be honorable.

There are so many things that amazed me while working in this business. The fact that someone could die in their home and no one would even notice for days. The ways people thought of killing themselves baffled me there had to be less painful ways to accomplish the task they felt necessary. How unaffected most people working in this industry are. What little effort some of the authorities put into some of the cases. The type of people that are drawn to this industry. How primitively some things are done on the inside. How a detective can bring you back the hands that have been chopped off a person for identification in an ice chest. That is just the beginning.

skull skull skull skull skull

That's it for now- After this, there will have to be just the entertainment of my daily words, the book is soooo in the works. So people let me know what's up with you all!

Til then- Take care of you! biggrin
