It's been quite some time since I've written an actual poem of any merit.

Here it is, the first of what I hope to be many.

And so those waves had carried me to a place where
Sight and mind had bled through an insanity unkempt.

Disowned, dispared, and discouraged, dusk had fallen and
Terror reigned supreme in a land that lay within this mind,
Diseased.

Those oceans within, beating, pounding against pure thought
Had been tainted by lust procured.

An animal I had become, a howl and whisper entwined
As the unforgiven beast.

The bells, they tolled; the stewing hunger churned and
A dastardly beast unveiled her carnal sin.

This storm had swallowed me whole, and within a belly
Of thunder, my life had been made.

Raven, cowardice be mine, unkind; tempt me no longer
With tales of wizardry refined; deliver to me a
Place in heaven where only the wicked of guise and
Semblance par for what sins they wrought in claims of
Victory and gravity.
