A bit of a rant...
If you are at a store buying alcohol or tobacco and the clerk asks for your ID, give it to them. What does it hurt? It takes all of 2 seconds of your time unless you don't have it- and if you don't have it why not?
Don't complain, "but I'm 22" blah blah blah.. because how can they tell? They don't know you.
The fines for selling alcohol or cigarettes to someone who is underage is rediculous and the person will probably lose their job if they sell underage to the wrong person (like an ABC check person)
I work in a conveniance store and the number of people who throw fits about being ID'd is stupid.. especially when they are throwing said fit while pulling a valid ID out of their wallet. It's not worth my job, or my hard earned money to not ID anyone whose age I cannot tell.
Think about it

Yeah, I had that same problem at Hannaford. People would try to get out of showing it while the fucking manager was standing there. Do they think we're dumb? Are you taped at your store?
