So, thanksgiving was okay. I really much rather been with my family or friends though. I went to the fiance's grandparents home for the food. Hung out with the uncles and drank the uncomfortable silence away. I was basically forced to be in the same area as his mother who I cannot stand. I prefer not to conversate with her at all. She makes my brain melt and ooze out my ears. At least that is what it feels like. Somewhat like sucking the lifeforce from your body when she speaks. It's exhausting to listen to her. Does anyone out there relate?
Oh well, the dinner was good and the cake I made was a success. I made all the appropriate phone calls to my family and friends, then finally made our way back home. During the these holidays it makes me think about how long it has been since I have been home to see my own family. What a bummer, ba humbug! I guess I am starting to sound a little bitter. I wonder if this is just one of those things that comes with age or the people you surround yourself with. I really need to make some more friends locally! IS ANYBODY OUT THERE!!!
Anyways, I hope everyone had a decent turkey day and have a good weekend!
