Update:
Still jobless I applied to Value Village yesterday and the manager seemed to really like me (plus I know they're hiring all positions right now), but no phone call yet. Before my gal secured a record store job the other day, she applied and they called her the next morning :/

We went to the rental office for the apartment we want yesterday as well. Gave them the last month's rent cheque, filled out a fuckton of paper work and are now waiting to hear back. My fingers are crossed because if we don't get this place, it means finding a new home in less than a month!

I am currently suffering through a cold, which seemed to be going away, but has now worsened with a dry cough to boot.
