Try the sound of "other" people fucking, uhh.

The hiss of air in the lines of an automatic sprinkler system right outside your window...followed by water hitting the dumpster, an air intake for underground parking, and finially your window. Then realizing that you left your window open...and yes my bed is right next to the window.

In my experience, that's much worse than hair dryers, barking dogs, and other people fucking.
