Went to vote today, for the prime minister and parliament of Portugal, and I’ve never felt so nervous before. The far right is getting too strong, and even the right is getting to morally pious and focused only on money for the rich, and upper middle class, they want to privatise everything, which is the worst that can happen. If you ever know what it’s like to pay only a couple hundred for major surgery and couple of thousand for a year of university studies, you know that’s something worth fighting for, there’s also the blatant xenophobia with immigrants, not to talk about the environment and animals which they give as much about as the lgbtqia+ people and even women, unless they’re rich women or stay at home moms.
I’m not a mom, I’m lgbtqia+, and I’m also upper middle class, still I’ll gladly pay taxes to help those that have nothing, to help creators, to give all the right to live with full rights and thrive too.
Well, praying for the results to be left sided.
