It has been a while since I have posted anything. Just not much to update and it seems most people have gravitated to FB or Twitter.
Spent last week in San Fransisco, one of my favorite places to be. It was a productive week meeting with new accounts.
I drove there with my brother. I think he had a good time. We... Read More
Hello SG! I know I have been gone for awhile and I have missed this site a bunch. I had (have) an issue with a coworker following me around on here. I have been conflicted on how to manage that. This site has been a great escape for me. I don't have a lot of close friends in the 'real world' but many acquaintances. As... Read More
Oh it wasn't the caffeine, I couldn't live without caffeine! The drink was just bad, I don't mind vodka it was just the drink. It tasted a bit like blue freezie and ass.
Companies that cut back on research and new product development,
do so at their peril. In the high-tech marketplaceas well as autos,
aerospace and consumer electronicscompanies that cut deep into
R&D will probably fall behind competitors who continue to invest.
You cannot save your way out of a recession, you can only invest your
way out.

God, you totally need to send that to your company big shots. That line about not saving your way out of a recession feels really true. Everyone seems so fearful to spend even a dime! But you'll be pleased to know that yours truly did six "units" in two days.... Take that, you lazy coworker, and take THAT you crappy economy. (Actually, I was pretty amazed myself -- haven't had a day like that in ages!)
I'm still curious to see what the "stimulus package" has in store.
Awesome quote. Congress has given $200 million to the National Institutes of Health for research grants, which makes my part of the world very happy (until everyone who applied for the grants but don't get them find out they don't get them ). I'm currently well funded but am receiving a lot of pressure to apply for one of these grants, so I might end up doing so.
Re: the comment you made to me about a month ago, I've been trying to find a therapist to help with my cognitive matters, but my insurance SUCKS! None of the therapists that have been recommended to me have been covered by my insurance, and I haven't been happy with the therapists who are covered. I'm now looking into self-pay options.
Today is Human Rights Day. And this country has come a long way since our inception. However, there are still 30 states that allow employers to fire someone for being gay as well as our military. It is time we progress and treat all human beings with the same cilvil liberties.
There you go again - it;'s amazing how you always manage to come up with the perfect pic and comment.
You are 100% absolutely correct. Before this GF he's not had much luck keeping GF's. He's not a bad guy (just not too terribly bright) - that's the pity of it. She's total bad news - but won't be moving on, on her own - since he supports her financially.
At some point you would have to think it would be better to be alone than deal with the stress she generates - both financially and emotionally. And, it's not just with him - she's created problems with his family as well. Sigh.
I feel for him.....
Love the skit. When the prop passed I could not believe it. I thought - I leave California and the state goes to hell in a handbasket. I would never in a million years have thought that prop would pass in California.
Pete got in trouble today so I don't know if he will be allowed out this weekend I am still going to do my best to come to MsJunes at least - that is if I can manage to drive there
