I love you still
I remember it. I remember the sweetness of your skin. I remember what it felt like to surround you, and have love surround me, in those moments. Those beautiful moments when the two became one. I know what it is to be trusted and to trust. I hold so dear the memory of the sweetness, the softness of your skin. I can not even imagine now what it was like to have you bring yourself to me, to me, to be surrounded, to be held. I knew, without words, that is what you needed, what you had to have in that moment. And I was grateful, I was honored to be the one you wanted, to be the one you needed.
Although she has not graced my life in many years now, I know what love is, what she looks like, what she feels like, what it is she requires of me. And I want her back. I wish with all that I am to hold her in my arms again, and to know that for that moment, for that small eternity, all that I should ever want, I already have within my embrace.
Thank you for loving me, and showing me the way. I loved you then, and I love you still.
